Hands on: “Eating in is the New Going Out

Date: 4 weeks Mondays from November 5th

Time: Evenings 7.0 -9.30pm

Families are so busy today that cooking an evening meal takes a back seat during the week. We rely on the constant use of fast food with its high fat and additive content. For 4 weeks during Nov 2011 we will organize a series of night cooking events for men and women to show that you can make simple meals which are fresh, healthy and nutritious without too much fuss and exciting to eat. The evening will be mostly “hands on” cookery with demonstration of new techniques as they arise. We will take a look in the pantry on nights that you do not feel going near the shops and make something interesting from very little. We will cheat sometimes by using ready prepared or half prepared foods to make comforting, seasonal dishes that come together quickly and easily.
